A quick add

When you feel like you have grasped some artist improvement and find yourself really being proud of something worthwhile. You stare at your work and breath a sigh of contentment because finally, you think, yes! I can do this! I can become an artist.

This is the painting that did this for me!

I used a tutorial from a book called 'Watercolour: Techniques and Tutorials for the Complete Beginner", by Paul Clark. The problem is. The next piece you paint, from the same book, is utterly disappointing.

Not Mr Clark's fault, but you're own, for thinking it could possibly be that easy to go from one painting that's made up of dabs, dashes and splatters to something where you have to stay within the lines! Haha! That will teach me, right?

But, of course, you can't let that deter you! You have to go on and keep practising because how else do you get past the former dabs and splats, etc?

My mum said to my dad, that she thinks I will become a better painter than her. And she should know, she is an artist!

Don't you just love when you have parents who says such encouraging things? Even if doesn't happen, it's amazing that they care enough to encourage you to be the better person. Anyway, that's all I have time for. I must go to work, even if I don't want to. At least I only have one day left after today... Sunday is my day off so I can once again be creative!

Oh! Before I go... since it's my birthday very soon, I got treated to a super printer! A HP officejet with all the bells and whistles and thensome. I frikken love it! Its my new current toy to play with! I feel like a kid at Christmas again. I can now download the printables my favorite Youtubers make for us users, and even try and create some for myself!
